Write a formal proposal. Use the elements of a proposal as outlined in chapters 10 and 11 of your
text. Format should follow the features provided in Figure 11.13, pages 300-313
of your text. The writing should include at least one chart. The length of the proposal is at your discretion but should be complete
enough to be persuasive. Subject: propose a change in one feature of college life at CASC you would
like to see changed or added. This could be (but not limited to) adding or
changing a degree plan or course, adding or eliminating a service, altering
course delivery methods, or adding extracurricular activities. Once you have identified the subject of your proposal, research it for
supportive ideas. Your primary audience will be CASC’s president, Dr. Jay Falkner. Other
members of your audience will include the Executive Cabinet and possibly
the Board of Regents. Although your cover letter and proposal will be
directed solely to Dr. Falkner, keep the attitudes and interests of your entire
audience in mind.
I would like the change to be that more classes are offered online. A number of classes are already but not nearly enough of them are.
