For this unit project, I am asking you to write and then
annotate) a short lost chapter (2-4 single-spaced pages) of Sing,
Unburied, Sing. You can write from the perspective of a character who has chapters in the book, or from the perspective of one who does not. You can write a chapter that takes place during the events of the book (for eg. describing an event that’s narrated in the book, but from the perspective of a different
character present). Or you can set your chapter before or after the events in the book (Jojo 5 years from now? Michael when he first came home from the Deepwater Horizon disaster?). Finally, in addition to writing the 2-4 pages of your chapter, you will
also annotate the margins of your chapter with analytical observations like a student reading the book for English class ( see attached files)
