Policies
Education: Everyone will have the opportunity to obtain up to a bachelor level degree for free upon completion of highschool. After completion of the 12th grade, when ready to start college a test will be taken to determine which degree paths would be available. Once you start the chosen program, you will have a maximum of 4 years to complete an associate degree or 6 years to complete a bachelor’s degree. This extra 2 years is to accommodate for unexpected life changes that may occur and prevent them from completing the degree on time. If a class has to be repeated the second time it will be on the student to pay for the tuition fees.
Equal Opportnuity: Regrdless or sex, race, religion, national origin, age, and disability all citizens of the society will be provided the same oppurtunities. This includes the pay gap between genders.
Sex, race, religion, national origin: Will be protected agianst discrimination in hiring, promotion, pay, benefits, and any other aspects of employment. All employers will reasonably accommodate religious practices.
Age: 50 years of age or older will not be discriminated against for hiring, promotions, pay, referrals, or any other facets of employment
Disability: Reasonable accommodations will be made to allow for anyone suffering disabilities the same opportunities as the other members of the society.
Healthcare: Healthcare will be made affordable for all families. Monthly cost will be dictated by size of family and annual salary. All prescriptions will be covered with no copays, and long-term care and surgeries will have minimal co-pays determined by annual salary.
Childcare: Childcare will be made available and affordable for all families. The cost of childcare will be income based and will also be discounted based on the number of children in childcare. Childcare will also be offered for those who may work afternoon’s or even midnight’s. This way those who don’t have standard 9-5 jobs will not be opted out of childcare.
Food: Food will be offered at an affordable price for everyone. For those who have large families or low income households, programs will be offered for those families. One program that could be adopted is a monthly allowance that is put on a debit card and can be used for food. The allowance will be income based, and also based on the number of children in the household. This monthly allowance will ensure that all families will have an equal opportunity to be provided food.
Shelter: Housing will be made affordable to everyone. Interest rates will be kept below a certain percentage to allow for families to purchase a home. For families who have low income households assistance will be provided to ensure they have shelter. Income based housing will be offered to those in need. The goal for this policy is so that nobody, or no family is left homeless. If families are not even able to afford income based housing they can apply for other assistance programs to ensure they have safe shelter for themselves and their children.
Geographic: Employers will be paid based on their location. Locality pay is beneficial for those who live in areas where cost of living is more expensive than other areas. Locality pay will allow for households to afford their basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, etc. Locality pay will be based on living wages. This means if the cost of living wages rises then so will the people’s wages. Doing this will allow for people to be able to continue to afford the cost of living.
Ideal Society
Organizations should look beyond the terminologies and computation procedures and consider comprehensive processes that guarantee that for a worker to earn a good salary, they must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and society throughout time. The wage rate in a certain location and profession must be considered part of this process.
Organizations in this sort of society I would want to be a part of a push for worker autonomy as a first step, including independence of effective recognition of the right to negotiate for pay collectively. Wage adjustments should be made to keep the current range of pay grades appropriate. Wages should also be made comparable to the rise in the cost of living.
There are occasions when what society tells us to do and what we honestly believe in our hearts is the best course of action are the same. Aren’t so many moments just the best? However, what about the moments when we are compelled to act following our ideas and values and societal expectations and “peer pressure”? Those are the decisions that define us as individuals.
It is something I would want to try out. Various social and environmental factors influence health, including the physical environment, influenced by urban planning regulations. Community-based efforts may aid in administering federal and state measures that assist vulnerable communities.
Strategies to expand affordable housing could include regulating private property, creating affordable homeownership opportunities, offering residents control over their equity, leveraging development in the market rate, and preserving publicly.
