Watch Star Trek: The Next Generation’s episode “The Measure of a Man” (season 2, episode 9). Write a 3 to 4 page essay answering the following: If the events of the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “The Measure of a Man” actually took place, would you judge Data to be a person? Would destroying him/it be murder? Do NOT just analyze the arguments made in the show. Consider and respond to all the material we’ve covered in units 12 and 13 as you prepare your answer. How would authors like Descartes, Plumwood, Taylor respond to your answer.
