The paper must be between 4-5 pages double-spaced, not including the title page or reference section, and should be in APA format (see link: https://csus.libguides.com/APAstyle (Links to an external site.)). The paper should contain at least 5 peer-reviewed papers that were found through searches from Pubmed.gov. The paper should contain the following sections:
Introduction section that includes: Historical background, prevalence, and behavioral symptoms of illness/disease (approximate length: one page). Note, that the National Institutes of Health has great references on prevalence rates and description of illnesses and diseases in addition to the textbook.
Neurobiology section that includes: Has an overview of brain regions, neurotransmitters and/or genetic basis of illness/disease, what we know about the normal function of listed brain regions, neurotransmitters and/or genetic basis, and how it is compromised in the illness/disease. (approximate length: two pages).
Treatment section that includes: Describes the range of treatment options (pharmacological, neurological, behavioral) but focuses specifically on one treatment (approximate length: one page).
Summary section that includes: Summary of all three sections (approximate length: one paragraph, half of one page).
