Should epistemic or non-epistemic values take priority in scientific reasoning?
-Describe both Steel and Brown’s position concerning the whether epistemic or non-epistemic values should always take priority in scientific reasoning. Provide one objection mentioned in class to both authors’ positions (so, one objection to Brown and one objection to Steel). Finally, argue for whether you find Steel or Brown’s position more tenable and why.
I attached the article/book you need to write the paper. Please read chapter 3 and 4 (author Brown and Steel) and write the paper in response to the question/prompt above! I also provided the powerpoint slides that summarize the arguments of bothSteel and Brown. It would be great if you could provide specific examples and quote the authors as much as possible!
