Remember: this is a dramatic scene, not a story, not a poem, etc. You must use only dialogue. Either of the following formats would be fine:

What do you want me to do about it?
Ellen
Get my ring back.
James
How can I do that? These guys are serious. They will hurt someone.
Ellen
You should have thought about that before you sold my grandmother’s ring.
