HR Strategic Plan

Assignment Requirements:
Your Final Paper must clearly demonstrate that you have successfully mastered the topics in the course learning objectives:
What sort of functions do HR professionals play in organizations? How does organizational structure support this? (2 pages – Module 1)
How can HR be a strategic partner in organizations? (2 pages – Module 2)
How can the HR team measure the effectiveness and/or impact of their efforts in organizations? (2 pages – Module 3)
What are your strengths and development needs as an HR professional? (2 pages – Module 4)
How do your strengths and interests align with a specific HR career path? (2 pages – Module 5)
What steps can you take to prepare for your career path in Human Resources? (2 pages – Module 6)
Each of these learning objectives will have its own line on the grading rubric, so be sure that you are addressing them all in sufficient detail. You should include at least two full pages of written double-spaced content for each of the first six objectives, each of which was a learning module in the course.
Assignment Format
Your paper should be formatted according to APA 7.0 guidelines, similar to research papers in many of your classes. The finished product must include a total of at least fifteen (15) double-spaced pages of content, not including the Title Page, a Table of Contents, and a References page. You do not need an Abstract page.
Each module of the course should be its own major section of the paper, introduced with a Heading Level 1 formatted section heading. Use Heading Level 2 formatted sub-headings where applicable to help provide structure to your paper.
Modules:
1. The HR Function
2. HR Strategic Planning
3. Measuring HR Effectiveness
4. HR Professional Competencies
5. Career Paths in HR
6. HR Development
This should be a professional, well designed, proof-read paper that you would be proud to share in a portfolio of work to a potential employer. If you wouldn’t want someone to read this as part of your job interview, it needs more work.
Research Requirements
In order to meet minimum expectations, each section of the paper (corresponding to a learning module of the course) must include cited research content from the assigned textbook chapter for that module (if there was one), along with at least one of the other assigned learning materials from that module. (attached in uploaded files)
In order to earn the highest possible score, each section should include cited research material from at least one external source that you found in your research. This must be from a peer-reviewed and/or scholarly source, or a very well-respected practitioner source like SHRM or Harvard Business Review. If you cite content from a website that comes up on a simple browser search, such as smallbusiness.chron.com or other non-scholarly sources, this will not count towards your research requirement. You are expected to use sources that would be reputable when presenting to senior executives or potential investors, not the first thing that comes up when you Google a topic. (Remember that this is a Master’s degree program, and look for sources that fit that level of prestige!)
Notes:
I uploaded my assignments from each module (narrated presentations) which aligns with the 6 objectives to be adressed in the paper. These are vital in understanding the career path I choose to discuss in this paper and could be helpful to reuse any external sources I found.
Outside of the required external sources, the paper also requires internal sources for each module (textbook and learning materials). I will attach this in files as well. For citation, the textbook is “Strategic Human Resource Management 5th Edition” Author: Jeffrey A. Mello
