A good healthcare leader is a well-informed leader. Most
managers and executives, however, do not have time to peruse hundreds of
journals each week to aggregate information on what is happening/trending in
the industry. Instead of seeking out the information, smart leaders have the
information sent to them.
News feeds make this easy. Really Simple Syndication (RSS)
quickly provides the latest updates from your favorite websites. Many websites
offer RSS: When a new article is published, it is also sent to your RSS Feed
folder. This is accomplished using Outlook, or other email clients. RSS feeds
may be found with a Google search, but below is a site that has aggregated a
list of RSS feeds:

Instructions on how to subscribe once you find one of
interest:
On a webpage, choose the RSS Feed icon, such as , or, , for the
content you want to receive.
When the RSS Feed opens, choose Subscribe to this feed.
Assignment:
The assignment is to sign up for two healthcare websites
that post industry news (regulatory, not medical). Do NOT sign up for one
requiring payment. Immediately, your Inbox will begin receiving articles
related to the parameters set up during sign-up. Choose six (6) articles and
construct an annotated bibliography with a synopsis of the article and a
description of what new information you gained from it. Follow APA style for
your annotated bibliography.
Submit in a Word document (.doc or .docx) with a cover page
and professional title.
