Free speech final paper

Your final paper should respond to the prompt, taken from the “Questions for Connecting” sections in the Barclay Barrios anthology, Emerging: Contemporary Readings for Writers. Come up with an original thesis sentence that clearly presents your stance.
Remember, a thesis is a position—not a question. It takes ONE side and prepares an argument for that position. Your paper should then be organized to support your position.
PROMPT GAVEN: How can we balance the goals of a safe, inclusive, and diverse atmosphere for education and a rigorous emphasis on critical thinking and free speech? Where do we draw the line? Work with Anna Holmes’s discussion of diversity in “Has ‘Diversity’ Lost Its Meaning?” to expand the context of the discussion of race and diversity and to consider how we might synthesize her insights with Lukianoff and Haidt’s arguments in “The Coddling of the American Mind”?
For this paper, you are required to incorporate outside research as well as research from both of the sources mentioned in your chosen prompt. Your final paper for the course should be 5-7 pages, and you should use 5-6 sources within it. The research should be synthesized within the paper; that means you should incorporate multiple sources in a way that is designed to support YOUR ideas (this does NOT mean surveying one source per paragraph–that’s one of the easiest ways to do poorly on this paper). All citations (paraphrasing AND quotes) must be cited per MLA.
You are also required to have a Works Cited page that accurately reflects MLA guidelines.
This paper is all MLA format. Below are the 6 sources that I haved picked to use for this paper. Try to use
the Has diversity lost its meaning and The coddling of the american mind more than the others. The paper needs to be a full 5 pages and then the work cited, for the work cited fix up the mistakes I have. for it, and put it below the five pages. It should be intro then 3 body paragraphs then a conclusion for the 5 pages. Use quotes from those cites in the body paragraphs and cite them in paper in MLA format throughout the paper. No plagiarism. It should be done on google docs in MLA double spacing format. Thank you and let me know if you have nay questions or need more information.
