Critical Thinking
For this discussion, you will focus on critical thinking, one of
the key aspects of problem-solving. Select a historical event or issue that
illustrates critical thinking. In your initial post, address the following:
Describe
the historical event or issue you chose, and discuss how the people
involved in that event or issue demonstrated critical thinking. How did
they apply critical thinking skills in order to develop a solution to a
problem that occurred at that time? Remember that critical thinking
involves making decisions that are based on objective analysis of a
situation assessing the existing tools, information, or resources that are
available, and weighing the merits of drawbacks of potential solutions.
What
lessons might be learned today from the critical thinking example you
shared? In other words, reflect on how we might apply the critical
thinking process to a similar problem in today’s society.
