The final topic in the unit titled “Emerging Issues” deals
with the expansion of the internet and other cyber activities that are so much
a part of our culture. While the
technology may be new and the extent to which the technology impacts daily life
is growing, the relevant issues discussed are familiar and have been part of
the moral discussion in the past when new means of communication such as
printed books, TV, etc. became pervasive and influential in the culture.
