– Make sure you are addressing the topic of the assignment
– “The Ethics of HaHa” class: Make sure you are addressing the topic of the assignment. You are looking at the arc and structure of the comedian’s special, not analyzing the jokes per se.
– “Life as an Experiment” class: Make sure you are addressing the topic of the assignment – the researcher’s experiment that is analyzing habit theory and meta-cognition theory etc. You are not addressing the feelings or the experiment the subject thought they were doing.
– Define the concepts before using them to do analysis.
– Do the analysis, not description or comparisons.
– Practice, practice, practice. Make sure your Presentation meets the minimum time requirements, you know how to pronounce the words you are using and you have developed a good flow, tone change and body movements visual connection with the audience (or camera) that make the presentation animated.
