You will apply economic theory to ONE of four topics below.

1. Why Do Most Economists Oppose Raising the Minimum Wage?
2. What Are the Costs of Green Energy (Wind Power, Solar Power, and Electric Cars)?
3. What Are the Unintended Consequences of the War on Drugs?
4. Why Do Many Economists Support “Sweatshops”?
I do not want your opinion in this paper. I want you to do the research and write what economists say in response to the topic you choose. In other words, choose one question above and answer the question exactly the way it is framed.
You must use at least SIX outside (you cannot use any of thethree class books as references).
You can use online magazine articles, interviews or documentaries, journal papers, online essays, or books.
However, to get you started, I would recommend these chapters in the MBN (The Economics of Public Issues book: Chapters 14, 21, and 7 for topics 1, 2, and 3. I recommend that you refer to the specific video clips on Canvas under Unit 2 to get you thinking about topic 4.
