Discussion 1-
One major issue / debate today is whether or not fascism or something akin to it is on the rise again in Europe and elsewhere. This provides us with a great opportunity to connect past a present yet again. After reviewing the four articles provided on the topic, as well as the historical content in the textbook, respond to the following:
1. Was the rise of dictators in the 1920s and 1930s inevitable, given the post-World War I state of affairs? Why or why not?
2. Do you think it is likely that we could see something similar occur again in the near future in Western Europe or the United States? Explain the reasons for your position.
Remember to cite the sources that you draw from and to use quotation marks if quoting. Let me know if you have any questions.
Discussion 2-
Using the documents provided in the links, compare the nationalist movements in both China and India as expressed through their respective leaders. What additional information (documents, etc.) might help you in this comparison? Be sure to cite either source quoted.
I will attach sources

Discussion 3-For this discussion, I would like you to discuss with someone their memories of the Cold War and share what you discussed. Please discuss with someone 35 years or older, as those younger may not have any clear memories. The older, the better! See what kind of things they talk about. In your post, try to connect what they discuss to content discussed in the chapter. NOTE: They do NOT have to be from the United States! An international perspective might make it more interesting. Don’t forget to comment on at least two other posts!
