Research:
For the problem solution section, you may use CQ Researcher, the CSULB database, or the internet. The source from the internet should be from an edu, gov, or org. If you find a credible source from a .com, please check with me. The sources should be less than ten years old.
You should have at least 4-5 sources, and 1 of these sources must be scholarly from Academic Search Complete.
For your career section, you might use the Occupational Outlook Handbook by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, current job listings, historical information, or any other source that helps describe your career to the reader. You should have at least two sources.
Introduction:
The introduction should provide sufficient background information for your readers to understand your subject matter. In your introductory paragraph, you should aim to establish your credibility. Introduce the problem and explain why the problem is important and why your audience should care. Your thesis statement should clearly state the problem and solution.
Body Paragraphs
You should use the elements listed in the paragraph pattern below. Your topic sentences directly support your thesis and indicate the direction of the paragraphs. Show the reasons for your position, with supporting evidence from the arguments and research presented in your sources.
Include an analysis of supporting evidence and state why the evidence supports your thesis.
Counterargument and response:
You may provide a paragraph with a counterargument that questions the feasibility of your solution. Respond to the counterargument and explain why your solution is practical, feasible, cost-effective, workable, and important.
Conclusion: The conclusion generally begins with your thesis statement and is followed by a summation of your arguments, followed by a statement arguing the importance of your thesis.
