class reflection

I have included some of the readings i did during the course of the class as well as some of the assignments i have completed.
Reflect upon your individual learning experience by closely reflecting upon the works that you studied by using technology, e.g., a PowerPoint or PowToon.
1. Read and consider the following Prompts to include in your Project (PowerPoint or PowToon):
Cover Page – Include your First and Last Name and Select a Creative Title
Introduction Slide: Your audience is future students of Composition II, and your purpose is to prepare them for the work ahead of them.
Now that you’ve come to the end of the class, you are in a position to advise and encourage others, based on your own experience. **It’s OK for you to use 1st person point-of-view. In your thesis statement, share which literary work(s) (drama, fiction, poetry) stood out to you [include the author(s) and title(s)].
Slides 2 – 6: Consider the works (drama, fiction, poetry,, From Letter from Birmingham Jail (1963), InQuizitive) that you have experienced throughout this class that may have a lasting value for you. Discuss one aspect of one work – a character, a setting, a mind-blowing passage – and why it resonates with you. What are some of the lines or moments that you find especially insightful or astute? How does it reflect the concerns in our world? Which LENS did you choose for one of your readings? Give a brief definition of your LENS.
LENS: Feminist, Marxist, Psychoanalytic, New Historicism, Cultural Studies, Reader Response, Biographical, etc. (See The Norton Introduction to Literature, 13th ed., “Critical Approaches”, pp. A1-A25).
You may wish to consider SOME (not all) of the following areas as you reflect on the literary works:
**Feel free to be CREATIVE! Use images, art, graphics, etc.**
Plot Summary – What happens in the plot that makes this work worth remembering? Avoid merely retelling the story – use images, pictures, etc.
Conflicts – What conflicts does the work include?
Character – How does the writer reveal character? With which character(s) do you sympathize? Are the characters plausible? What do minor characters contribute to the work?
Setting – What does setting (time and place of the action) contribute to the work?
Symbolism – Do certain characters, settings or actions seem to you to stand for something in addition to themselves? In other words, are they symbolic?
Theme – What is the theme? That is, what does the work add up to? Does the theme reinforce values that you hold, or does it challenge them?
Lens – What is the definition of the Lens? How did the Lens help you to see that particular story/play/poem?
Connection – How or why did this particular selection come to mind?
Slides 7 – 12: Share your strengths and areas of improvement. What advice would you give to a new ENC 1102 student? What have you noticed about your growth as a learner? How has the literature/works changed the way that you think? What lessons were learned (do not procrastinate? plan ahead?, etc.) This paragraph is really about your experiences about writing, literature, and learning. Feel free to share …
Slides 13 – 14: Conclusion — Wrap up.
2. Complete an informal outline:

Body of your Power Point (Slides 2-6) – Consider the works (discussions, essays, readings, etc.) — Use at least two (2) MLA In-text Citations [What were your favorite reading (s) and/or discussion (s) and/or assignment(s)?]
Body of your Power Point (Slides 7-10) – Share your strengths and areas of improvement. What stands out to you? This course has taught you about …?
Conclusion (Slides 11-13) – This is your “Aha” moment. For example, What realization did you learn about yourself? What did you learn about your study habits? What story impacted you? What advice would you give to a new ENC 1102 student?
Works Cited (Slides 14) – Include a Works Cited Page
** NOTE: For this assignment, you may use this “BLANK” “My Reflection” PowerPoint for your Final Presentation.
