great majority of this course is devoted to learning counseling theories and techniques. In each chapter in your textbook you will review major theorists and certain approaches/information related to counseling. Techniques will be included as well as a case study that can serve as an example of the practice of the theory.
For Chapters 1-4, write 3-5 sentences for each half-moon bullet point at the beginning of each chapter.
In order to help you identify similarities and differences of theories, for Chapters 5-15 you will use a chart similar to the one provided below in the Assignment Section to keep a summary of each theory. It’s recommended that you complete the chart at the conclusion of reading each chapter. The chart will help you develop a concise reminder for each approach as well as a means of discovering comparisons between approaches.
