This assignment address three of the core competencies for
practice (6b, 7b, 8b). Students will research the current evidence for group,
organization, and community intervention and treatment of their case study with
a focus on mental health in this paper. Mental health may include
current issues (e.g., depression, bipolar disorder, etc.).. Students are
expected to demonstrate a holistic approach to understanding the client
situation and the selection of an appropriate evidence-based intervention.
The paper should be based on a client that the student has
worked with during field placement. You
may also use a case from the text (McCoy and Schwaber) or another source but
please discuss with me first. The
student should ensure that no identifying client data is contained in this
paper. The paper should contain a brief
synopsis of the case and then address the relevant competencies. The paper should be no more than 6 pages in
length (excluding title and reference pages)
and must follow APA style. The
paper should include professional references with at least five in addition to
the texts. Late papers will not be accepted without prior consent of the
instructor. The paper is worth 25
percent of the final grade.
Develop an engagement, assessment, and interven9on plan for
this case. All engagement, assessment, and intervention must use
trauma-informed practice and your paper must demonstrate that. Your paper should
include the following sections, identified with subheadings:
