Write a concise annotation that summarizes the central theme and scope of the book or article.
Annotations should be one paragraph long (150 words).
The purpose an annotated bibliography is to summarize and evaluate.
The paragraph should contain a statement of the work’s major thesis, from which the rest of the sentences can develop.
It should briefly communicate the work’s main point, and the strengths/weaknesses of the work.
Structure:
Work’s major thesis: 1 Sentence (5 points)
Work’s main point: 3-5 Sentences (10 points)
Strengths/weaknesses of the work: 1-2 Sentences (5 points)
