Objective: You will create an MLA-style annotated bibliography.
Annotated Bibliography: An annotated bibliography is a bibliography that contains citation information and a brief summary of each source’s content. For this assignment, you will create an annotated bibliography using proper MLA format. Select a topic relating to this course or use one of these suggested topics:
female voices in British Renaissance poetry
religion in John Donne’s later poetry
theories about William Shakespeare’s true identity
the life of Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Then, locate and thoroughly read three sources on your selected topic. Finally, create an annotated bibliography of the works. Remember to include citation information as well as the annotation. Your response should include the following:
the title Bibliography at the top, center of the page
three annotations of at least five sentences in length that summarize the research sources
each of the three citations are properly formatted in MLA style
proper use of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure
