“Motivation is providing a reason for someone to act. Teams are motivated by empowering them to participate in decision making and encouraging them to work independently” (Project Management Institute, 2017). There are many motivational techniques and models. For this discussion, answer the following questions:
Describe a situation that you have used motivation techniques in to get yourself or someone else to do something. What techniques did you use to create a motivating environment?
What types of communication, negotiating, and leadership skills did you employ to influence success in an outcome or project?
Describe a conflict you have had with another person that required you to use a conflict resolution technique to resolve the conflict. Why did the technique work and is there anything you would do differently?
