Assessment Criteria
Assignments will be assessed on a variety of criteria. These include:
Clarity, logic and coherence of the argument;
The extent to which theories and concepts are understood and explained;
Relevance of the content to e.g. the topic of the assignment and critical engagement with the readings covered on the module;
Reflection, analysis and originality of thought; evaluation of the reading materials and information/data used;
Use of evidence from e.g. a relevant range of primary and secondary resources;
Incorporation of sources in the text, accuracy of referencing and citations (in-text and in the bibliography), appropriateness of the bibliography (NB: City recommended citation style is Harvard);
Clarity of expression including presentation (correct page layout, correct use of paragraphs, indentations etc) and accurate grammar, syntax, spelling (it is important that all coursework is proofread several times before submission);
