Concept
Choose an organization and create a crisis communication plan. Develop a comprehensive crisis management plan, providing appropriate elements a client could use pre-crisis, during the crisis and post-crisis. Your client should be a real organization of your choosing. This could be a current or former employer, a nonprofit, a student organization or any organization you are interested in.
Content – Each of the following categories should be a new section of the plan with a bold heading.
Introduction including a brief organizational background to serve as information for the crisis management team
Identify the possible types of crises your organization could face
Create a mission statement
Identify core values
Identify key stakeholder groups
Set goals and objectives
Create a tactical operation plan including crisis management team
Establish procedure for dealing with the Media during a crisis
Procedure for evaluating the crisis plan after a potential crisis (How will you know the crisis was handled well after the fact?)
