One Marriage
Using the reading assignments and class lectures for this semester, and the notes you submitted about them, describe one biblical marriage in a 2000 word single-spaced academic paper that represents, in the opinion of the instructor, college-level work in form and in content.
You may use the notes you submitted as part of this paper without any citation. All other material you use, from any source whatsoever, must be correctly and separately footnoted using the Chicago Style.
The Anchor Bible Dictionary must be the baseline for the research for your paper. These volumes include articles on every book of the Bible, every place, and every character. (Here is the complete list of articles.) The final paper–the one that counts–is due at the beginning of class on May 3, 2022, 10 minutes before the beginning of class. You may submit advance versions of your paper whenever you wish, and I will tell you what the paper needs to become a college-level paper. The final paper is graded on a 0% or 100% basis; once it reaches “college-level” it’s worth 100%, until then, 0%.
Submission instructions: No title page, no bibliography. Single-spaced.
