Write an essay in which you make an argument about the way that colleges support students on their academic journeys. To support your argument, use concrete evidence from research that you’ve done on your own.
Complete a 4 page draft for essay #3. This draft should primarily be body paragraphs of examples and data from research.
Reminders for This Draft:
Start with a clear thesis statement that provides an argument about the text. Write the thesis at the top of the first page. DO NOT write an introduction. Then move directly into body paragraphs.
Next week, we’ll work on Writing Introductions and Conclusions for long essays.
Each body paragraph might be about 3/4 to 1 page long. This is NOT a 5 paragraph essay. Each body paragraph should be primarily analysis.
See example here for what a research body paragraph might look like. This is just an example. Yours can be shorter/longer, include more/less evidence, include more analysis/synthesis.
