Directions: Writing is important in all subject areas as it helps develop general writing skills, but writing activities also give students an opportunity to think about and reflect upon what they have learned. This Unit focused on the basic concepts of geometry like lines, points, angles, etc. Using resources found in the school library or on the internet, find examples of how geometry is used in art and architecture. Choose at least three examples and explain how the concepts you write about in this Unit relate to the examples you find. For example, you might look for murals, mosaics, landscape paintings, portraits, pictures of sculpture, or architectural drawings, buildings, and paintings.
