For this assignment, a topic of your choice will be submitted to me and approved no later than the week
of 2/24. You will choose a movie or a tv show series where you will tie sociology to the film. The paper
should have a detailed summary of your movie or tv show and discuss how your topic is portrayed. You
will then give an analysis and interpretation of systems, social norms, cultural norms, traditions, stigmas
seen in your film, and discuss individual behavior impacted by the social environment in your
entertainment choice. Lastly, you will choose 2 sociological perspectives, define them and discuss how
your movie or tv show exemplifies your two chosen perspectives. 3-5 references with at least 2 being
scholarly articles must be included as evidence of your analysis and interpretation. You can use your
choice of entertainment and your textbook as two different references. The paper should be 5-7 pages,
Times New Roman 12-point font, double spaced with 1” margins. A hard copy of a rubric will be posted
in canvas a criterion for success of the assignment, as well as a video from me explaining assignment in
