315 Case Study: Summary:
For the Week 6 Case Study, you will review the W6 Case Study PDF
located in the “Case Study Files”. Upon thorough review of the
case, you will then answer the five (5) questions below:
What is the management-research
question hierarchy for Akron Children’s Hospital?
What are the
advantages/disadvantages of an observation study for this research?
What does the brand promise
recommendation reveal about what researchers experienced and
concluded from their study?
If you were designing such an
observation study, what would you direct researchers to record/look
for/listen for?
What ethical issues would
surface in hospital studies in general and this study in particular?
It is not sufficient to state your opinions; you must be able
to:
demonstrate your understanding
of the case study information by accurately explaining the relevant
concepts
use the facts listed in the
case study and the concepts in the textbook to draw your own conclusions
demonstrate exceptional
critical thinking skills
apply the relevant concepts
from the textbook chapters to the case study correctly
include facts from the case study
to support your own position
Your case study analysis is to be a minimum of 2
complete pages in length. Going over the minimum page length
requirement is acceptable; however, I am not looking for a 5+ page essay.
Be as thorough as possible when writing your
responses, and remember, this is an academic assignment, so no “text-talk,” no
conversational tone, and ABOVE ALL OTHER THINGS… don’t plagiarize!!
Lastly, spell-check and proofread your work! Failure to follow these
steps will negatively impact your grade.
For this course, you will submit the graded activity using Turnitin.
An Originality Report will become available within a few minutes after your
first submission. Inside the Originality Report will be a Similarity Index. The
Similarity Index shows a percentage of the material in your paper which matches
other sources found by Turnitin. You will be expected to have a Similarity
Index of less than 15%. If your Similarity Index is greater than 15%
you will need to review your Originality Report to be sure that you have
paraphrased your work appropriately, and cited your sources correctly.
The Originality Report will help you to avoid plagiarism, and improve the
quality and content of your essay. It is strongly suggested that you keep
direct quotations to a minimum, and never copy and paste text without proper
citations. You have until the activity due date to resubmit your work, however,
there will be a 24 hour delay before the Originality Report becomes available.
It is your responsibility to submit your activity on time, with a Similarity
Index of less than 15%.
General APA Formatting Guidelines:
The Case Study analysis should have an APA title page and
an APA reference page. The APA title page and APA reference page DO
NOT count towards the minimum page requirement! Your body of
work needs to be a minimum of 2 complete
pages in length. Note that an APA abstract page is NOT required!
