In this assignment, you will examine resources available through the U.S. Department of Education. These resources include information on adaptations, modifications, interventions, assistive technology, as well as many other topics. While many of the resources are designed to address the learning needs of students with disabilities these teaching strategies will support learning for all students.
The federal government has funded over fifty centers which research and disseminate educational information. These centers cover aspects of teaching and learning research that support all students. We have utilized and will continue to utilize resources from several of these centers during this class.
Most of the centers are subject specific, however, the feds have funded Regional Comprehensive Centers which provide resources for specific states. Oklahoma is assigned to REL Southwest. There is a regional center at OU.
Find at least one center that covers areas in which you are interested. Go to that center online and examine what they offer.
